Description
Show a wooden rod with one blue and two red silks attached. The blue silk is at the left end of the rod. Pass the rod behond your back, bring it out again and the blue silk is now on the right end. Repeat this a few times making the silk jump from one end to the other. Soon your audience will shout out that you are just turning the rod end for end!
You build up the suspense for what it’s worth until your audience is howling out and booing you, then you pass the rod one last time behind your back and when you show it again, the blue silk is now in the middle between the two red silks! The audience is now stunned into silence.
Everything can be examined if you wish as there’s nothing to find, but it’s not really necessary.
