The magician displays four coloured cords and explains that a banknote is tied in the centre of one of the cords.
Three spectators select a cord each leaving one for the magician. As each spectator selects his cord, it is removed and shown to be without any banknote.
The last cord left for the magician is the one with the banknote tied on!
The trick is easy to perform and all the cords can be examined.
