The magician has three cards selected which are then shuffled back into the deck. A spectator (or his assistant) throws the deck into the air, the magician stabs at the cards with a gleaming sword and magically the selected cards end up impaled on the sword blade! A deck of cards is removed from a small
decorated wooden chest. The spectator selects a card which is then
returned to the deck and replaced in the chest. The magician now
holds the chest in his hands, concentrates on it, and suddenly, the lid
opens eerily by itself! This is followed by the selected card rising out
slowly from the chest!
One, two or more cards are selected and
replaced in the deck which in turn is placed in a box. After some
by-play, the lid of the box mysteriously opens by itself and the selected
card rises out from the box! Each time, the lid is closed but it opens
again by itself and the next card rises out! 
The Card Star is an old trick very seldom seen nowadays. Five cards are
selected and are then shuffled into the deck. The magician exhibits
an interesting metal five-pointed star on a stand. At his command, the
five selected cards suddenly appear magically on the five points of the
star! 
Have one, two, or even three cards selected and replaced in the deck. Hold
the deck in the hand and the first card rises out all by itself. Lean the
deck against a bottle on the table and the second card rises out as well.
Finally, isolate the cards in a tumbler and the third card still rises out
to join its friends!

Cover the deck with a silk and the second card rises out together with the
silk! Finally, lean the deck against a bottle on the table and the last
card rises out as well! 
Take out your deck, show it to be of normal size, squeeze it and the cards
suddenly diminish to half their size! Give them another squeeze and they
diminish again to a quarter of their size! Then they get smaller and
smaller until they are really tiny! In the end, the cards disappear
altogether!. 
A beautiful golden picture frame is shown empty and covered with a
handkerchief. The spectator selects a card which is then made to vanish.
The handkerchief is removed and the selected card is seen in centre of the
frame!
Three cards are selected and shuffled back into the deck. The magician
exhibits a slim, silver sword and the spectator throws the deck up into
the air. The magican makes a lunge at the cards with the sword and
deftly manages to impale the selected cards on the blade of the
sword!
